Transfer News - Poros sign Golemis

Poros add one more player to the ranks. 23 year old Forward, Ilias Golemis signs from rivals, Enosi Mideas. Golemis also represented group 7 rivals, Panargeiakos in previous seasons. One of his main reasons for joining the club is manager, Dimitris Magkafinis

Argolida Cup - AO Porou 4-1 Asklipios

Poros beat Asklipios 4-1 at KE Poros stadium.

Poros took the lead in the 6th minute through Bourikas and then doubled the lead in the 19th minute through Zoras. Ksidis made it 3-0 in the 21st and added again in the 61st. O. Serianai scored for Asklipios in the 64th minute to make it 4-1.

Poros will now play with Saronas in Phase 2, who beat Driopi away, score 3-4.

Poros have been drawn against Asklipios in the first phase of the Argolida Cup. The game will take place on Saturday September 11th, at KE Poros Stadium, Kick Off: 1630 GR

The draw for the Greek D 7th Division was made today in Athens. In what is likely to be a difficult year for all clubs in the D Division with many derby games, as well as financially. Poros were beaten against Vrasies in a pre-season friendly as the preparations continue for the 2010/11 season. Vrasies took the lead through a Dimakos header from a Barlas cross in the 8th minute. In the 44th minute, Vrasies extended the lead with Barlas side footing into the next from a Dimakos assist.

AO Porou played Greek A Division club Asteras Tripolis in a friendly Tripoli on August 16. The A Division club proved too strong for Poros but a good test and experience for both players and management. Apostolidis in the 29th minute had a one on one with Poros goalkeeper Giourgousis who saved, but Bakasetas was there to slot the ball home and make it 1-0 for the Premier Division club. Three minutes later, Bakasetas made a good run into the box where he was brought down and Ivanox doubled the lead from the spot. In the 35th minute, Asteras showed their class in play where the ball was neatly brought down by Ivanov where he slotted home from a distance. Karabelas made it 4-0 in the 85th minute with a header. This was a strong friendly for Poros and despite the result, there is nothing but experience gained from these type of games.

Poros vs. Iraklis Psachnon

First reports tell us around 1000 visiting fans expected at Poros today to see the visitors fight for promotion to C Division.

Changes at Poros

Only a few hours to spare before the end of the league and Poros will go into next season full of changes. First shock comes with the announcement coach Dimitris Magkafinis will leave the team to return to his home city. It is also announced that Chairwoman, Soula Leoutsakou also leaves. Young Goalkeeper Simeon Menios also leaves the club at the end of the season to return to his club, Olympiakos. Treasurer Vaggelis Zentelis also leaves his post.

In with the new... Chairman for the time being is Lefteris Tzakas. Miltos Souliotis is brought in as the new treasurer. New manager is Nikos Fasios.

Poros play against Iraklis Psachnon on Sunday. Iraklis Psachnon need to win to be assured of the league title.
